Vehicle Financing vs. Logbook Loans: Which Is Right for You?
3 min read
Both products put you in a car with money you don't currently have in hand — but they solve opposite problems.
Vehicle financing is for when you don't yet own a car and want to buy one. Moti Kenya finances up to 70% of the vehicle's price, you put down a deposit, and you repay over up to 36 months. The car itself is what secures the loan.
A logbook loan is for when you already own a car and want cash for something else entirely — the car isn't what you're buying, it's what's securing a loan for another purpose.
A simple way to decide: if the goal is 'I want to be driving a different car than I am now', look at vehicle financing. If the goal is 'I want cash and I happen to own a car outright', a logbook loan is the more direct route — you're not selling anything or taking on a new vehicle.
